Meet our founder - Chantal Kant

The goal isn’t to keep you in therapy forever. It’s to help you find your footing. so you can walk forward on your own.

Welcome to The Aware Mind Co. A safe and supportive space created for you to explore self-awareness, personal growth, and healing at your own pace.

With over 7 years of experience working within the NDIS sector across a range of roles, I currently work as a Behaviour Support Practitioner supporting individuals with complex psychosocial disabilities. My experience includes supporting people navigating life transitions, trauma, grief and loss, relationship and family challenges, and cultural identity through a person-centred approach that incorporates CBT and mindfulness-based practices

This is a space where you don’t have to pretend everything is okay. You can show up exactly as you are , overwhelmed, uncertain, emotional, or simply tired. I’m here to listen with compassion, not judgment. No pressure to “fix” yourself, no expectations, just genuine support, understanding, and a safe place for you to be heard.

I have a special interest in supporting CALD communities, empowering individuals to build
emotional awareness and regulation while reshaping cultural cycles in a way that honours and
maintains their roots, values, and identity.

Stories of transformation

Counselling is a supportive and confidential process where you can talk openly about challenges, emotions, relationships, stress, anxiety, grief, or life changes with a qualified professional.

You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from counselling. Many people seek support to better manage stress, improve relationships, build confidence, process difficult experiences, or gain clarity during challenging times.

The first session is an opportunity to discuss what has brought you to counselling, your goals, and any concerns you may have. We will also talk about how counselling works and answer any questions so you can feel comfortable moving forward.

Yes. Counselling sessions are confidential, except where disclosure may be required by Australian law, such as if there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others.

The number of sessions varies for each person depending on your goals and circumstances. Some clients attend for short-term support, while others prefer ongoing counselling.
